Flowers for your muma...

Whilst there is still a nip in the air & a smattering of light frost some mornings, we are very definitely on the cusp of springtime. Clusters of snowdrops are bowing out gracefully to allow for dainty primrose to spring up and take centre stage as we head into March, and I am on high alert as I travel down country lanes for the first signs of blossom on the trees. Suddenly I have a need for everything to be palest buttermilk yellow and only blue eggs at the breakfast table will do (Cotswold Legbar incase you need some too)... my annual reaction as the winter loosens its grip on our gardens and countryside and I feel my fingers start to thaw out at last.

The new season brings a fresh palette with it too; my much loved palest primrose yellows and ballerina pinks set against a backdrop of soft eau de nil greens and sugared almond lilac. Spring is also the season of scent and I feel the very last breath of winter ebb away with a heady lungful of hyacinths or the delicate wisp of lilac blossom on the breeze.

With Mothering Sunday just around the corner, I am delighted to be offering bespoke bouquets to celebrate the mother's of Buckinghamshire, full of seasonal bounty and the most beautiful blooms I can lay my hands on. We are entering into tulip, lilac and ranunculus season; the prettiest of springtime blooms guaranteed to bring cheer on Sunday 26th March, jumbled in with sprays of fresh foliage and bobbing blossom for a truly natural style bouquet. Gather the family for a celebratory feast and present your special mum with a wild bunch for the sweetest of thank yous...
